There are many misconceptions out there concerning Jesus Christ: His person, His message and His church and often these wrong ideas about Him has become, to many non-believers, barriers to consider the salvation offered by Jesus in His Gospel. H2O series’ aim is to create an atmosphere in which non-believers feel comfortable openly considering – may be even drinking of – the Living Water, Jesus Christ.
Like Alpha Course, we will invite non-believing friends, family and even strangers to a simple meal on 7 Friday evenings and follow it by a video message and group discussion aims to lead the participants to think and talk through the person of Jesus and His message. We hope that this series will help them to unload their cultural baggage and begin to see Jesus as who He really is – the incomparable Savior of the world who loves every person to the extent of giving up all He has, even His life. The series will run from 3/16-5/4. We will invite many the Alpha alumni but newcomers are also welcome. Her husband, who's a hip hop artist, will also be there, but won't be presenting unfortunately. Outside of music, both of them are involved in other areas of ministry as well. You can stop by their table tomorrow and find out more about what they are doing.

For those of you that are able to walk, we recommend parking at the Samuel Ayer Education Center (just a 5 minute walk away ... 1331 E Calaveras Blvd) so that guests can find parking at church. We also suggest getting there 15-20 minutes earlier to find a seat!

We are blessed to have Linn's family with us in the past 5+ years. Ben and Dorine have been faithfully serving the Lord here in our Hesed and Hoplon Fellowship, children, youth, women, men, worship and outreach ministries and many others without reserve. It is hard to believe they have 4 young children aged from 10 to 14 years old. The more they receive the more they give and they receive even more. They have shown us a great testimony on "trusting the Lord" and "responding to the call with submission" a great example. Since Linn's family may be super busy in September before they left us, we, Hoplon, Emmanuel and Light Hose fellowship have decided to have a farewell party for them on 8/26/2016(Sat) 6pm to 9pm at SVAC Sanctuary. Please come and join us with this special occasion. Linn's Amoveo Ireland website: http://www.amoveoireland.com/about-us/ We are going to have potluck.Since Linn's family is going to Ireland, some of us may be interested to prepare some Irish theme food for the event. They are only away from us and they would love to do the ministry together with us. Also... Sign up!! If you have any questions, feel free to ask any coordinators. In Christ Sharon |
